Meridian Health and Cypak launch joint venture iMPak Health to develop wireless health monitoring devices and services

Neptune, NJ and Stockholm, Sweden ― Meridian Health and Cypak announced today the launch of their new joint venture, iMPak Health, Inc.  iMPak Health’s mission will be to develop smart, easy to use wireless devices and services to screen and monitor health and overall well being globally.  

Eindhoven, The Netherlands – Philips Applied Technologies, part of Royal Philips Electronics (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHI) has launched the market’s first ZigBee Health Care ‘reference design’. Device manufacturers can develop a range of wireless telehealth devices, fast and cost-efficiently, for home patient and fitness monitoring, such as blood pressure meters, heart rate monitors, respiratory peak flow meters, and medical alarms. These devices can help people with complex, chronic health conditions to stay in their own home – avoiding a nursing home or other residential facility.
