As I work with more and more assisted living and live at home seniors I am appalled at the costs they are paying for simple cell phone, cable TV, land line telephone and Internet Services. There is a better way and I think John Marick at Consumer Cellular is on the right path. Perhaps he could introduce medication alerting, emergency alerting, video response and other elderly features into his offering. That would deffinitely get the big vendor's attention and bring them to the table to meet the needs. If my dad could simply call on his cell phone and I could see that he is OK it would take a lot of pressure and guilt off of my family. Who knows, he might also get a kick out of seeing the crazy things that go on at my house.
