International Federation on Ageing (IFA) Launches New Expert Portal

TORONTO, March 30, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, the International Federation on Ageing (IFA) launched its new online portal featuring a directory of top experts in various disciplines related to age-related policy and practice.

Working in partnership with government, NGO, industry, academia and other agencies such as the World Health Organization, the new IFA "Expert Center" located online at www.ifa-fiv.org/Expert-Centre will provide a searchable resource to connect to key experts and expertise around the world shaping the future of ageing.

"The IFA is strengthening its global position as an organization focused on positively changing age-related policies that improve the lives of older people.  To do this we need to drive global education, collaboration and innovation with thought leaders across all sectors and disciplines," said Dr. Jane Barratt, Secretary General, International Federation on Ageing.

The IFA Expert Center will be powered by the ExpertFile software platform (www.expertfile.com) featuring searchable expert profiles, complete with their publications, links to their media work, photographs and videos.  

The IFA is the first global NGO to use ExpertFile as a platform to influence and shape policy – serving as a key point of connection while leveraging breaking news from featured experts as key resources on ageing related topics.
