Best Buy divests home health care unit -- back to founder

Best Buy (NYSE:BBY) sells back its home care technology unit, Current Health, which it acquired in 2021 for $400 million, to its co-founder Chris McGhee.

Current Health specializes in technology that enables hospital-at-home and at-home care models, with McGhee expressing his intention to build Current Health into "the world’s largest healthcare organization" focused on shifting more healthcare into home and community settings.

McGhee said that he reacquired the business and is now running it again as an independent company, with several former team members also rejoining the organization.
