ComfortLife.ca Publishes Retirement Homes Checklist Resource

Mississauga, ON – Our Kids Media™ has added to its series of eBooks, with a simple straightforward Retirement Home Checklist, available as a webpage or as a PDF that users can print off and use as needed. The checklist is five pages of questions and notes for seniors and families to consider as they tour retirement homes. Questions are organized around the following broad topics: impressions of the building, residents, staff, services and amenities, food, health and medical, suite features, financial aspects of the home, and miscellaneous information about the residence.

Users who have downloaded early versions of the checklist have raved about its usefulness, and some homes have also given this to potential residents (even if comparison of homes is not always in their favor). “The Comfort Life Retirement Home Checklist gave me questions and things to think about that I never would have thought of myself,” said Henrietta Dieleman, a Calgary woman looking for a retirement home for her father, who needs long term care.

This and other books are available from comfortlife.ca/ebooks/. The Comfort Life series of eBooks help Canadian seniors and their families make important retirement decisions about retirement, financing, moving and care. Videos, site content and other resources on the website provide a full suite of information for families searching for senior care. Elliot Bay of the Leo Wertman Residence in Vancouver calls comfortlife.ca an important resource for generating “many solid interest inquiries for our residence.”
