Halo Monitoring Announces iPhone App

Huntsville, AL (February 5, 2010) – Halo Monitoring, Inc., provider of the world’s most reliable and easy to use fall monitoring system, announced today a new iPhone app for baby boomer children to help care for aging parents. The app allows caregivers to confirm an aging parent is OK, securely track health information, and receive important fall alerts.

The myHalo iPhone application is free to download and compatible with Halo’s popular myHalo Clip as well as the myHalo Complete. Both products offer the clear benefit of the world’s most accurate, reliable, and easy to use automatic fall detection technology; however, the myHalo Complete offers additional value by tracking heart rate and body temperature from a comfortable chest strap. The senior needs only a phone line and does not need an iPhone or Internet. An adult child caregiver can then use their iPhone to stay more involved with mom’s well being.

The myHalo system is the most user friendly system of its kind. “We have always offered our users an easy to use web dashboard, but we also understand that adults caring for an aging parent are always on the go.” said company cofounder and Senior VP of Internet and Enterprise Technologies, Chirag D. Patel. “Our users appreciate the ability to check on a loved one from a mobile phone. The iPhone was the perfect platform to launch this new mobile interface.”

The myHalo system delivers standard text messages for caregivers on the go, but iPhone users can now benefit from a native application and interactive features like tracking vitals real-time from a mobile phone or the ability to browse recent activity (e.g., a recent fall, mom forgot to wear the device, or mom has left the house).
