HEALTH ISRAEL NAMES FINALISTS IN START-UP FUNDING COMPETITION

TEL AVIV, Israel – February 8, 2016 -- The third annual mHealth Israel Conference for startups in the digital health technology sector announced today seven finalists selected to present at mHealth Israel on February 18.

The Finalists will present to a panel of C-level Judges from top global healthcare organizations like Philips, Novartis, AstraZeneca and AARP. The winner will receive an all-expenses paid business development trip to Texas for the Medical World Americas Conference, where they will meet with C-level executives from Texas Medical Center and other health systems. The runner-up will be invited to present at Medica. The Top 3 will be invited to participate in the Merage Institute program at UC Irvine.

The Finalists include:

6over6- 6over6 brings innovation to vision care. The company develops “GlassesOn", a simple and intuitive smartphone app for a complete and accurate measurement of the refractive error of the eye, for eyeglasses / contact lenses prescription.   

BiopMedical- Biop's big data cancer analytics is based on its optical probe which provides real time, single point of care diagnosis of cervical cancer.

Medaware- MedAware utilizes advanced machine learning to transform large-scale medical data into actionable clinical knowledge.  Its flagship product identifies prescription errors in real time, dramatically reducing healthcare costs while improving patient safety, outcomes, and experience.

Taliaz Diagnostics- Taliaz Diagnostics develops innovative genetic-based predictive tools - guiding clinicians through sophisticated and unique algorithms in determining the correct medication for the individual patient.

Datos Health- Datos enables health organizations to proactively manage patient health through an innovative data management platform, which delivers personalized insights without patients leaving their home.

Recover.io- Recover.io uses the power of Virtual Reality to provide a better rehabilitation process for people following brain injury

Intensix- Intensix provides a high-accuracy predictive clinical analytics tool for hospital ICUs to improve clinical outcomes and reduce costs.
