“Aging in place” is the ability to live in one's own home for as long as safely and comfortably possible. At the forefront of providing easily adaptable and affordable “aging in place” products is Archetype Ltd., a New Jersey-based product development and manufacturing group that has created an innovative patent-pending DIY automatic lighting system called PathLights™ that lights the pathway ahead for staircases and hallways.
