Presto Announces New Service That Connects Generations Through Facebook® and Computerless Email

LOS ALTOS, Calif. — June 7, 2010 — Presto Services Inc. announced today a new, free service that uses social media to connect generations becoming increasingly more separated by tech usage behavior.

“Anyone with kids under 20 knows that even though they are extremely adept with computers, email, and office apps their communication apps of choice are Facebook at home and text messaging on the go,” said Peter Radsliff, CEO of Presto. “The popularity of social media and integration of communication technologies has greatly expanded the digital divide between grandkids and their grandparents. Presto has developed a solution that reconnects them without requiring any behavior change from either.”

Presto DailySmile™ (www.prestodailysmile.com) is a new free online service and Facebook application that builds upon the popularity of online photo albums, and the unique abilities of Presto computerless email to connect grandkids with their grandparents. DailySmile allows Facebook users to select photos and add them to a Photo Queue which delivers them one per day to their grandparent via Presto.

“Facebook members are used to sharing photos, so using the DailySmile Facebook app requires no learning curve at all,” said Mike Migliore, Presto’s VP of Engineering. “And the photos delivered to their grandparent via Presto are printed automatically without any computer, Internet service or software application to learn. It’s a seamless experience for both users.”

Presto DailySmile provides many other useful features, including: Browser photo upload • Delivery confirmation • Photo captioning • Output templates • Queue editing • Delivery control • Facebook connect • Single log-in, and more.

DailySmile will be available beginning July 1 to the hundreds of thousands of people who currently send email to Presto computerless email users. Presto intends to expand DailySmile functionality to include grandparents who use computers not long after initial launch.
