MedHab Announces Official Launch of MyNotifi Clip, an Automatic Fall Detection

San Angelo, Texas– MedHab, the creator of wearable sports, wellness and healthcare
devices, announces a new addition to its line of MyNotifi® fall detection wearables, the
belt-mounted MyNotifi clip. MyNotifi is a fall detection device which automatically
detects falls and notifies selected family, friends or neighbors.

MyNotifi can be worn on the wrist or clipped to a belt. It connects via Bluetooth to the
wearer’s smartphone. The device does not require a button push to summon help. If
MyNotifi detects that the wearer has fallen, it automatically notifies selected contacts
through the MyNotifi app. In addition to fall detection, the MyNotifi app assists in fall
prevention with 38 American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) certified physical
therapy exercises, designed to strengthen the lower body and enhance flexibility,
balance, and range of motion.

According to ConsumersAdvocate.org , there are numerous reasons individuals often
do not press their emergency response buttons , including forgetfulness, trauma,
embarrassment, or not wanting to worry others.

“The fall itself isn’t the only important variable,” said MedHab CEO Johnny Ross. “It’s
also very dangerous and frightening to be stuck on the ground for a long period of time,
not knowing if or when help will arrive.”

The launch of the online store has been met with great success. With just a few clicks,
anyone is able to purchase a MyNotifi wristband or clip device for $299 (MSRP $335)
and have it shipped right to their home. There are no hidden costs, no monthly fees,
and no outside call centers needed. Even if there hasn’t been a fall, the wearer can use
the device to summon help by simply tapping the device several times.

“After my husband fell twice, I tried to get him to wear a pendant medical alert device,”
said Tricia, a caregiver from Austin. “He refused to wear it because he didn’t want to be
connected to a network of strangers, and hated that it made him look old. MyNotifi is a
perfect fit because my husband loves wearing it and it provides the peace of mind we
need.”

MedHab is also a platinum sponsor for the National Senior Corps Association , whose
member affiliates include Foster Grandparents, RSVP and Senior Companion
programs. Through this sponsorship, MedHab is making MyNotifi available to directors,
volunteers and clients of the NSCA program. In collaboration with NSCA, MedHab is
launching a fall education program to benefit seniors and their caregivers, as well as
initiating further research into fall dynamics and fall prevention.
