New Technology Platform, Sherish Connect, Keeps Seniors, Families Connected

Indianapolis, IN. - Sherish, a new technology company for seniors and their families designed to alleviate senior loneliness, announced a new initiative in which it offers its platform, Sherish Connect, to senior living facilities for free for 90 days. The initiative comes at a time when the senior living market is struggling to keep residents safe, healthy, and happy, despite strict restrictions on visitors due to risks associated with illness.

“We’ve seen firsthand the positive effects Sherish Connect has on seniors by helping them connect to their loved ones through photo albums that play directly to a senior’s TV, tablet or smartphone,” said Sherish founder and CEO, Alan Stanford. “Sherish Connect addresses a root cause of loneliness in seniors that can lead to serious long term health problems. With our low cost, easy-to-use technology, we’re helping alleviate the huge social challenge of loneliness by providing seniors and their loved ones an easy way to stay connected, without the learning curve that often accompanies many options on the market today.”

Using Sherish Connect, family and friends privately share photos via the Sherish Connect app into their family albums that then play directly to a senior’s device. Photos can be accompanied with a personalized voice message from loved ones that will then be played on a continuous slideshow for seniors to enjoy. Additionally, seniors can share photos and messages back to loved ones, providing a connection even when families and friends may find themselves physically apart.

Already in use at more than 30 senior living communities nationwide, Sherish Connect is experiencing an increase in demand as seniors and families look for ways to keep in touch, despite the current pandemic that disproportionately affects the elderly. Later this year, Sherish Connect will launch its product for seniors living independently at home.

“Sherish Connect is easy to use and our residents have been able to stay connected with family and friends without pause,” said Allison Brown, Community Relations Director at Traditions at North Willow, a senior living community located in Indianapolis, IN.  We cannot thank Sherish enough for the number of smiles and laughs they have helped create.”
