Designed as an 'always on' service, On4TodayTM bridges potential communication gaps between assisted living facility residents and their families, friends and care providers. Philips Lifeline announced availability of GoSafe."Featuring the power of up to six location technologies, GoSafe gives seniors the assurance to get up and go while being protected by the 24/7, U.S.- based emergency call response center which protects more seniors than any other medical alert service. According to the announcement, Philips is the only mobile personal emergency response system (mPERS) to utilize this "hybrid" locating approach, which allows response center associates to locate seniors in need of assistance even in areas where GPS may not be available, such as indoors or in a parking garage." Seniorability announced cognitive safety and survellance solution. "Focused on elder care, Seniorbility is a daily phone call service for seniors that tests cognitive function with a unique daily cognitive test, as well as a safety check. Trained Seniorbility representatives then deliver a scored cognitive and safety assessment report to caregivers by e-mail. The cognitive tests provide an early warning system for dementia.
